Day 2 at the Reykjavik Bar Summit

25 Feb Day 2 at the Reykjavik Bar Summit

Day 2 at the 2015 Reykjavik Bar Summit was simply put; unforgettable!
It all started with the main competition at Iðnó where half of our contestants took the stage and explained their philosophy and approach while creating the perfect cocktails for our judges to taste and evaluate – who clearly had the best job in the world!

The bars that competed yesterday:

Door 74

Corner Club

Broken Shaker

Victory

Linje Tio

Duch Kills

Worship Street Whistling Shop

When the competition had ended the group went back to Slippbarinn where a bus awaited them, ready to take them for an hour drive to Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal baths. The atmosphere at Fontana was great, the group had the chance to relax in the geothermal pools and saunas while enjoying some great cocktails. After the amazing experience at Laugarvatn Fontana it was time to head back to Reykjavik and get ready for the evenings main event; battle of the continents.

Now you’re all gonna have to excuse us, we are trying hard to find the right words to describe the atmosphere at the battle of the continents but it feels like everything we say will not even come close to the actual experience – you simply had to be there! The atmosphere was smashing, the drinks were tasty, the DJ was superb and last but not least, the participants and all the good looking people that showed up surely made this a night to remember!
